Transportation

The most convenient kind of transport for traveling to Ukraine is an airplane. Almost all international flights to Kiev arrive to Boryspil International Airport located outside the city (about 35 kilometers from the center). The other airport Zhulyany-Kyiv is located 7 kilometers from the center of Kiev and handles domestic and international flights from neighbor countries.

As there are no Metro stations near the airports the most convenient way to get to the center of Kiev is by a taxi.

You can order this service from us.

Our driver will meet you at the airport, take you to our office (for registration) and then to the apartment. Our taxi rents are much lower than of those at the airport.

Some our guests use train for traveling to Ukraine. Although Ukrainian trains are not as fast as trains in Western Europe, railway traveling inside Ukraine and from neighbor countries is quite convenient and not very expensive. It is the way to get to just any place inside Ukraine. The longest straight railway route is “Kiev - Berlin”

There are the following types of long-distance transport in Ukraine: air transport, railway, busses, and water transport, etc.

There are 3 comfort classes for long distance traveling: luxury-soft with two beds in a roomette, couple-soft with four beds and so called “platskart” - compartments with six beds and without doors. On some roots there is also “Grand hotel” class – it is the most comfortable and the most expensive class with two beds (sofas), individual mini bar and washing stand, and sometimes TV direct in a roomette.

Please note that besides classes there are two kinds of trains: ordinary and firm (ukr.- “firmovy”). Both of them have the same classes, but in fact firm trains are much more comfortable. We advice you to order tickets only for firm trains.
